Tech Fair 

The Luna 360° Camera

It is a camera that fits in the palm of your hand! 

It is a 6 cm sphere and has 2 spherical lenses, wireless connectivity for live streaming to give you access to 360 degree images or videos from the palm of your hand with a few clicks. The magnetic charger also doubles as a way to attach it to anything from street lamps, mic stands and bike frames.It is also waterproof which makes it even more exciting to get cool underwater shots.

Who developed it?
 The people who created this camera are: 
Chiang Fon, Ju Chun Ko, Servando Cavales and Gaurav Gupta.

What can it be used for?
People can use it for getting really detailed and clear images and videos. They could use it for a job purpose as a photographer to get precise photos of many things. Photographers for important magazine covers can use these to get amazing pictures for magazine covers like Friday etc... We can get pictures of the skyline from a height due to the magnetic force that the camera has to place it on street lamps to get a panoramic views of the sky (anything). 

Reflection
My research went very smoothly as I got my information in my first attempt I didn't really use key words on the search engine to get my information. I just typed the nape of the camera and I chose a website, read it and collected the appropriate information needed. At first, I was not able to find the creators of the Luna 360 degree camera. I looked for more websites in more detail and found it on one website. Overall, I think that my research was successful and I have a lot used a lot of good knowledge and understanding as I have written all the information collected in my own words. I am happy with my research

How can the blog be improved in your opinion?

Avantika's blog is well managed and she has finished all the work in time and has done everything in a format and organised in order. all the work is referenced appropriately and has been reflected. it can be improved by a better format and presentation. she has many diagrams and pictures to support her information and explains in detail.

Reflection

 For our tech fair project for 2016, my group and I decided to make a baking website and and a baking video where we made three easy and delicious treats. On our website, we have 5 easy to follow recipes. 

Peer Evaluation- Tech Fair Projects

Group 2-  William created a retro arcade action/ adventurous game using a software called slpoder.com and has made 9 levels. He explained the game, how to play it and the keys used to control the game well. I think that the game is quite interesting and the game  engaged all the students. However, the game didn't have many obstacles to face and he didn't mention the pros and cons of the game and the software he used to create the game. I think that the game is fun and many kids will like to play it and his project should be in the Tech Fair. The game would be a bit better if the game had harder levels and obstacles. Overall, I liked the game and would definitely want to play it. 

Group 3- Amirezza and Magnus created a BB-8 robot. I have not seen the final product hence I can't describe their product in detail . By looking at the presentation I think that they have a good concept of the product and have explained the product well. The promo video did not show the final result, but did show the creation procedure. I did see progress in the creation of the robot and I am eager to see the final product. The only doubt that I have with the robot is how the head will stay in place without moving when the body moves. BB-8's head doesn't move when he moves and I am not sure how they will make that happen. I am not completely sure if their product should be in the Tech fair as I have not sen the final product.

Group 4- Abdullah created an action game. the game is interesting and looks appealing. The game was a battling game taken place by a Furby and a dragon. Many young children would love to play the game and it would really interest people. I am not sure how many levels there are in the game and don't know mush in detail about the game . I would love to know more about this game, its features, obstacles, levels and other characteristics on the game.  I also want to know the pros and cons of the game, did he face any challenges when creating the game and what software he used to create the game. I don't think that the game is worthy enough to be in the Tech Fair as there are not many obstacles or levels. I think that he could improve his game a lot.

Group 5- Rawan created a small robotic dog. It looked nice and could work well. I have not seen her presentation or the promo video and have not really understood how she created the robot. I liked the idea of creating a robot but I didn't find it really interesting. I want to know how she created the robot and what she used to create the robot. I want to know the pros and cons in creating the robot and any challenges she faced while making the robot. I don't think that her project should be in the Tech Fair as I don't know a lot about the robot. She could explain her project a bit more in detail and could have mentioned the points I stated above.

Group 6- Francesco and Daniil created A Rocket Igniter Command called Mr.Big Boom. In their presentation, they described the rocket launching process very well with clear pictures. The promo video was well edited and they explained their product very well. They also showed a procedure on how the rocket igniter works and also showed a clear picture of the process. The video and presentation was very informative. I would like to know the pros and cons in making the rocket igniter. I also would want to know about any challenges that they faced while creating the igniter and the materials they used. I think that  their project should not be in the Tech Fair as their project is more of a Science Fair project than a Tech Fair project.

Group 7- Josephine created  Techllery. Techllery is jewelry made out of tech. She explained her product well in her presentation and mentioned the making procedure with clear pictures. She also explained that she used parts of a phone to create the jewelry. I want to know the pros and cons in making the product and more on how she created it. I also want to know about any challenges that she faced while creating her product. I don't think that her product sould be in the Tech Fair as it is not really interesting. I think that she could have added a bit more detail to her product as it would have been a lot more better. She also had sketched her product before creating it which was a very good idea as she would know exactly what to do and she would have a clear image of her end product in her head.

Group 8- Rishab and Sahil created a game called First Person Shooter. They used a software called blender to create their game. The game is quite interesting and has many levels. They presented their product in an appropriate manner and the presentation was very interesting and informative. I think that they have explained their product very well and in detail. I think that they should have added more obstacles in the game as it would be more interesting. I think that their product should be in the Tech Fair as its a good project and they have put in a lot of effort into creating the game.

Group 9- Tanya and Salma created a CD lamp shade, They have not presented their tech fair project to the class. The lamp is made out of recycled CD''s. Their presentation is very detailed and informative and have explained their product very well mentioning the pros and cons, the materials needed and how their product is abstract. I would want to know about the challenges they faced whilst making the product. I think that their product is very innovative and creative and I think that their product should be in Tech Fair 2016.

Group 10- Maria and Mckaylin created DIY ( Do it yourself) speakers as their tech fair project.Their presentation is very detailed and informative. They mentioned the materials they used and the pros and cons of their project. I would like to know the challenges they faced during the making of the speakers. Overall, I think that their project is really good and should be a part of Tech Fair 2016.

Group 11- Rozita and Tereza created a CD sculpture with LED lights. Their presentation was detailed and informative. The idea of creating a CD sculpture was really innovative and creative. They mentioned the materials they used and the pros and cons of their project. Their promotional video was very entertaining to watch and gave a brief outline of their project which was very good. I have not seen their final product, hence I cannot describe how it looks. Overall, I think that the project is really good and deserves to be in the Tech Fair.

Sustainable Environment And Infrastructure related to Technology.

In order to have a sustainable country, we should reduce a lot of waste materials being used in the UAE. There are many things that get wasted here like paper,electricity, water and many more. There are ways to reduce the amount of usage of these crucial products that are involved in our daily life. We can reduce the amount of paper used by not printing many papers. In schools we can reduce this by not printing worksheets and assessments but send them 

Cohesive Society And Preserved Identity

The sheikh wants UAE to be cohesive society and be proud of their identity and sense of belonging by 2021 This promotes an "environment that integrates all segments of society"(http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/A/animation.html) It preserves UAE's one of a kind culture, traditions, heritage and reinforces.

Safe Public And Fair Judiciary

The sheikh wants UAE to be the most safest place in the world. They want to reinforce the citizens in the sense of security. The sheikh wishes that UAE will lead in areas of security, safety, emergency preparedness, reliability of police services and road safety by 2021. The sheikh also strives for UAE to reinforce the importance of a fair and active legal system.
